Emirati, 19, killed in car accident in Al Warqa

DUBAI // A 19-year-old Emirati died after losing control of his car at high speed.

Dubai Police said the man, identified as M A A, died instantly in the accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Brigadier Saeed Hamad bin Suleiman, director of Al Rashidiya Police station, said the man was driving along Nouakchott Street in Al Warqa when the incident occurred.

“The operations room received a call at approximately 2.15pm. Police rushed to the scene, where it was apparent that the driver lost control of his car due to high speeds,” he said.

The car rolled across a sandy area for about 200 metres before coming to a stop.
