More than 2,300 traffic fines were issued in the first quarter of the year for reckless driving or racing, Dubai Police said.
Of the 2,337 drivers fined, 390 were penalised for racing, 740 for improper driving, and 1,207 for reckless driving.
“Such behaviour on the roads is unacceptable, and we will not allow these people to kill themselves or put themselves and others in danger,” said Maj Gen Mohammed Al Zafeen, assistant chief of Dubai Police for operations affairs.
