Construction set to begin on Mohammed bin Zayed Road

RAS AL KHAIMAH // Construction work is to begin on a 7-kilometre stretch of Mohammed bin Zayed Road to transform it from two lanes to three.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works said a contract to complete the work had been handed to an Emirati construction company.

The company has already begun preparation works on the road and the project is set to last four months.

A spokesman for the Ministry told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National, that the work was part of a plan to enhance all major highways in the emirate.
