DUBAI// Unpaid fares, bus drivers not following rules and problems with stations and air-conditioned shelters were among the issues discovered as part of a Roads and Transport Authority campaign.
The Rasid campaign was organised by the Monitoring and Transport Activities Department at RTA’s Public Transport Agency and aimed to crackdown on bad practice on public buses and look into whether bus drivers were complying with the rules.
The ultimate purpose of the campaign is to report negative practices from bus drivers, riders, or users of public transport facilities, said the RTA.
Bus passengers are being urged to comply with the regulations and pay the relevant fees to use the services.
