ABU DHABI // Parents and families have been warned about the potential dangers of children using electronic self-balance scooters.
While children may use the toys, which police say have become very popular, they should only use them in safe areas such as parks and play areas, said Col Jamal Al Ameri, head of communications for the Abu Dhabi Police traffic directorate.
Children should also wear protective clothing while using the scooters, he said.
When it comes to road safety, parents and guardians must be responsible for their children, Col Al Ameri said.
