ABU DHABI // A traffic plan has been put in place to keep congestion to a minimum for the 43rd National Day next month.
The Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police has prepared the comprehensive plan that includes increasing the number of police patrols across the emirate.
The patrols will watch for speeding motorists, for any violations to the vehicle decoration regulations as well as for any uncivilised behaviour.
The director of traffic and patrols, Brigadier General Hussein Ahmed Al Harthi, said the department has finalised vehicle decoration regulations for National Day celebrations from November 22 until December 6 and that the rules would be revealed soon.
