Toddler dies after being run over by neighbour

The 17-month-old girl was reported to have been playing with her sister at the time

A 17-month-old girl is reported to have died on Monday after being accidentally run over by a next door neighbour.

The toddler was understood to have been playing with her three-year-old sister when the tragic accident happened.

Police officers called to the scene in Mleiha, a small town in Sharjah, said the young girl was dead when they arrived.

The neighbour was questioned by officers and is expected to be referred to prosecutors.
