Teenagers who robbed Dubai restaurant arrested

Two teenagers who robbed a restaurant while wearing costumes and carrying toy guns have been arrested.

The duo, who had on masks and wigs when they threatened staff at the Dubai restaurant into handing over the contents of the till, were arrested within minutes of the crime.

Police were led to the duo after a restaurant customer recorded the robbery on his mobile phone, Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National reported.

During a search, CID officers discovered the masks, wigs and toy guns, as well as the stolen cash.

Both suspects admitted to planning the robbery and the case is ongoing.
