During Ramadan, teams from Emirates Red Crescent’s community awareness department visited the homes of the elderly and people with special needs.
ERC said the visits provided psychological support “in an effort to identify the medical and humanitarian services they have been receiving from therapists and social workers and ways of improving them”, the state news agency Wam reported.
ERC’s elderly care programme, launched in 2000, has seen 30,000 people receive training to care for the elderly.
