ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has given a directive for the construction of a permanent heritage village in Al Wathba City, at the site of this year’s Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival, the state news agency Wam reported.
The popular event ran from November 20 to December 12. Among the attractions was a living museum featuring interactive activities.
Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and chairman of the higher organising committee of the festival hailed the success of this year’s festival which showcased the rich diversity of the UAE’s traditions and provided an educational platform for the public.
