RAS AL KHAIMAH // Major Gen Sheikh Taleb bin Saqr Al Qassimi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ras al Khaimah Police, has received a National Order of Merit from the French president Nicolas Sarkozy, the state news agency WAM reports.
The medal was presented to Sheikh Taleb by the French Embassy on Saturday.
Mr Sarkozy penned a note to Sheikh Taleb thanking him for past co-operation.
The order of state was founded in 1963 and is presented for civil and military success.
