Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has inspected progress on the new Dubai Creek Tower.

He was shown progress on construction of the structure, which is expected to top 1000 metres when completed.

Sheikh Mohammed was able to view the lower floors, two years after ground was broken in 2016. Dubai Creek Tower will be nearly 100 metres higher than the Burj Khalifa, currently the world's tallest building.

As the centrepiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour development, the tower is expected to feature a 360 degree observation deck and a beacon of light at its summit when it is completed in 2020.
