Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with a delegation from Uzbekistan on Thursday.
The delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov, and was attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, as well as Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, and Ohoud Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness and Well-being.
The representatives discussed, among other things, the formation of government accelerators, government services, national strategic plans, government innovation and leadership programmes.
Sheikh Mohammed said that building partnerships with other countries was part of the UAE's international policy and he praised the relationship between the UAE and Uzbekistan, state news agency Wam reported.
"Just a few weeks ago, I met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev," he said. "Today, we received a high-level government delegation to put in place mechanisms and detailed plans to implement a strategic partnership."
The two governments signed a strategic partnership agreement in March and will work together on a number of joint initiatives.

Anti-semitic attacks
The annual report by the Community Security Trust, which advises the Jewish community on security , warned on Thursday that anti-Semitic incidents in Britain had reached a record high.
It found there had been 2,255 anti-Semitic incidents reported in 2021, a rise of 34 per cent from the previous year.
The report detailed the convictions of a number of people for anti-Semitic crimes, including one man who was jailed for setting up a neo-Nazi group which had encouraged “the eradication of Jewish people” and another who had posted anti-Semitic homemade videos on social media.
