Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid has met with the King of Bahrain during a brief visit to the country on Saturday.
The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai was welcomed by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa at Al Sakhir Palace in the capital Manama.
The two leaders discussed building greater economic ties between the countries as well as the importance of maintaining security in the Arab world.
Officials also held talks on continuing to hold a number of successful sports tournaments in the Gulf region, with special emphasis on equestrian events.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohammed attended the King of Bahrain Endurance Cup, a race organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation.
