SHARJAH // Motorists in the emirate who pay their traffic violation fines in the coming four months will only pay half of the total fines, police officials have announced.
The decision goes into practice from April 7 until August 7 and it is expected to encourage motorists, especially those with accumulated fines, to come forward and clear their debts, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
It is the second year that Sharjah Police has offered a 50 per cent discount on fines.
