Sharjah Police help settle more than 1,000 financial disputes

Sharjah police have said they settled 1,239 financial disputes in the second quarter of the year without cases having to go to court.

The police have returned more than Dh21 million as part of its Reconciliation is Good initiative, created four years ago. When creditors file a police report, the station calls the other party to try to convince them to pay, giving them a timeframe to do so.

Col Khalifah Klandar of Sharjah police said the results are positive and the initiative is successful. Parties pay the money to the creditors at police stations.
