A boy aged seven died after getting into difficulty in the water off Yas Island on Saturday.
Police said the child and his brother were rushed to Al Rahba Hospital after received treatment from paramedics.
The younger of the two children did not survive.
Police urged parents to keep a close eye on their children when in the water.
