A elderly woman was injured yesterday when a lift in a Sharjah building fell six floors.
Police said nine people - including four other adults and four children - were in the lift when it fell.
An official at the Sharjah Civil defence said only the elderly woman was injured, and that she had been released from hospital.
It was not immediately clear why the lift fell.
