The Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment has announced that it has cancelled the pre-approval process for residents seeking to alter or modify their homes.

The move has been announced in an effort to facilitate procedures for its customers.

Abdullah Al Shehhi, the director of the Engineering Projects Foundation at the establishment, said that residents of housing complexes developed by the entity who want to make additions and/or modifications to their property, will no longer require pre-approval.

Mr Al Shehhi also said that the organisation’s Department of Housing Services had stopped carrying out inspection campaigns on housing complexes and, instead, Dubai Municipality will handle inspections.
