Fog patches will reduce visibility for drivers on Tuesday morning in Abu Dhabi. As a result, they are being advised to take extra care and slow down to avoid collisions.
Rain is also forecast to sweep into the UAE later on Tuesday as the cool unsettled period of weather looks set to continue across much of the country.
Motorists in Dubai faced slight delays on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road heading towards Mirdif City Centre following a minor accident just after 7am.
Further congestion has been reported on the same section of road opposite Jumeirah Village Triangle on the approach to the Dubai Investments Park roundabout, following several minor collisions.
Forecasters have said it will be partly cloudy with the risk of thundershowers later and into Wednesday in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with temperatures unlikely to rise above 24°C, and a similar weather picture in the Northern Emirates.
Thunderstorms are also forecast overnight for the UAE on Wednesday, before a similar day of unsettled weather on Thursday. There will be a cool 18km per hour south easterly breeze, with overnight temperatures falling to about 16°C.
