Abu Dhabi // A police officer who attacked his wife has been jailed for two months.
The man was also fined Dh1,000 at the Criminal Court on Tuesday.
A I had claimed at previous hearings that bad friends and social media had brainwashed his wife and caused her to accuse him of attacking her.
In previous hearings, A I, who is Emirati, presented medical reports that showed his wife had thrown him against a car injuring his arm and breaking his finger.
The man also alleged her parents were brainwashing her.
