Police are looking for a man suspected of killing his wife and burying her in their garden in Sharjah.
A patrol car and K9 team were dispatched to the area after receiving several reports from neighbours about a foul odor coming from a home in Maysaloon.
The woman's decomposing body was found buried in the garden. A police official said forensic reports indicated that the 36-year-old Indian woman was stabbed to death around a month ago.
Police suspect the woman's husband - also Indian - killed her then buried her body in the garden before fleeing to his home country with their two children.
Police said the man hung a "for rent" sign in front of their house before fleeing.
The suspect is being pursued by Interpol.
