Over 600 sign up for Abu Dhabi triathlon

The International Triathlon Union World Triathlon Abu Dhabi is expected to attract some of the best Olympic competitors.

ABU DHABI // More than 600 people from 57 countries have signed up for the International Triathlon Union World Triathlon Abu Dhabi next year, reports state news agency WAM.

The event is expected to attract some of the best Olympic competitors from around the world.

It also replaces the hugely popular Abu Dhabi International Triathlon.

So far, 635 people have signed up and there are 1,400 places still available for the March 7 race, which is ope to amateurs and professionals alike.
