A 60-year-old Indian man was killed and his 53-year-old wife injured when their car collided with another vehicle in Al Khan, Sharjah, at around midnight on Tuesday.
Sharjah Police operations centre dispatched two ambulances and traffic officers to the crash scene, on Al Qasba Bridge. The Indian national was already dead by the time help arrived. His wife and the other vehicle’s driver, a 32-year-old Egyptian man, were taken to Al Qassimi Hospital for treatment, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.
The cause of the collision was over-speeding and inattention.
