DUBAI // An Omani man has been jailed for four years after a used syringe was found in his car at a border crossing.
Customs inspectors then searched TA’s car on August 31 and found 0.13 grams of heroin.
“An inspector informed me he found a used needle in TA’s car which made him suspect that he is consuming drugs. Therefore we took him to the inspection room,” one of the inspectors, HD, told the court.
TA, 34, confessed to charges of drug possession and consumption. He will be deported after completing his jail term.
