More than 1,000 people took to the waters on Saturday for the various races of the Abu Dhabi Swimming Festival.
Among the participants was South African Olympic swimming gold medallist Chad Le Clos, who came first as an honorary entrant in the mile-long race. The 22-year old said the festival could grow “to become one of the must-attend mass-participation swimming events in the world”.
