The Ras Al Khaimah Police operations centre received 479 incident reports over the weekend, following heavy rainfall and hail in various parts of the emirate as well as landslides and strong winds, according to Brig Gen Ahmed Ghanem, director general of central operations. Traffic returned to normal throughout the emirate on Monday as the department of Public Works and Services removed excess water from streets and roundabouts. Sources reported that RAK civil defence dealt with seven different fire reports on Friday, including an explosion that caused a fire in a building and three cars.
