Motorcyclist run over by driver in Dubai morning traffic

Both vehicles were turning right when the driver overtook the motorcyclist, killing the latter.

DUBAI // A motorbike rider has been killed after he was rear-ended by another vehicle on Umm Ramool Road this morning.

The Asian driver was turning right on Umm Ramool when an Arab driver, who was also turning right, clipped the motorbike, drove over the rider and killed him.

The driver is now in police custody and will face prosecution, according to a spokesman for Dubai Traffic Police.

No other information about the deceased was available.
