A woman left stranded for 13 hours in mountains in Fujairah has been brought to safety after a major police search and rescue operation.
The Emirati woman, in her 40s, was reported missing to Fujairah Civil Defence at 10.45pm on Tuesday after failing to return from Al Ghub mountains.
Police and members of the woman's family scoured the area throughout the night but failed to find her.
The rescue mission continued the following morning, with the lost adventurer finally found at 11.40am on Al Raheb mountain.
She was found to be in good health but was transferred to Dibba Hospital to undergo a check up.
