Masdar Institute to start thermal imaging project

The project will be in collaboration with Strata Manufacturing.

Masdar Institute of Science and Technology and Strata Manufacturing announced a collaboration focused on testing systems and methods for aerospace structures. The research project will explore the possibilities of using infrared thermal imaging to provide alternate methods for non-destructive testing inspection. “We believe this research project will lead to new solutions, while supporting local knowledge-intensive industries and contributing to the country’s diversified economic base,” said Dr Fred Moavenzadeh, president of the Masdar Institute. The project will involve several local engineers and scientists currently working in field of thermography.
