DUBAI// An accountant will be deported for sexually assaulting two maids who were cleaning his house.

The 50-year-old Iranian was convicted at Dubai Criminal Court and given a three-month suspended jail sentence. The court ordered his deportation.

He hired the two maids to clean his house in Al Nadha for three hours in August last year.

“We arrived at 3pm and divided the work,” said one of the Filipinas, aged 24. “I took the bedrooms and she took the kitchen, 10 minutes later she came to me and told me to be careful because the customer had touched her.”

The maid said that a few minutes later the defendant came to the room where she was cleaning and touched her behind several times then left and went to do the same to her colleague.

“He started talking to me about doing an excellent job then placed his hand on my back before he suddenly touched the lower part of my body,” said the other maid, 29.

“As we tried to leave, he grabbed me by the breast so I screamed at him and ran out.”

The women reported the incident at Al Qusais police station.

The defendant denied sexual assault but was convicted.
