RAS AL KHAIMAH // A man died and two others were injured in a head-on collision on Wednesday evening in Ras Al Khaimah.

The motorist, a 32-year-old Arab man, died in the crash after his vehicle swerved out of its lane, crashed into the barrier on Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and collided with another vehicle in the opposite lane.

RAK Police said that two men, from Asian countries, were injured and taken to hospital by emergency crew. One of the men sustained severe injuries and the other moderate injuries.

“The Arab man was driving recklessly and in high speed, before he lost control of the car and hit the metal separator,” said Col Mohammed Al Hamidi, director of central operations at RAK Police.

“His car burst into flames and the front of the vehicle was burnt completely.”

He urged motorists to heed traffic laws and remain fully alert while driving.
