A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Fujairah.
The driver failed to stop after hitting the man as he tried to cross Sheikh Maktoum Road, sparking a police search.
Police in the emirate said on Monday that the alleged driver had been tracked down and arrested.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries but could not be saved.
The Fujairah force did not disclose the time and date of the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
