ABU DHABI// A Libyan national denied being part of a terrorist group at the Federal Supreme Court on Monday.
He was accused of joining Libya Dawn, an organisation backed by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Ansar Al Sharia group.
The court heard he played a role in establishing a militia group called The King’s Battalion, through which he participated in terror attacks.
The exact nature of these attacks was not disclosed in court.
The accused, 27, denied the charges and said he had only been a member of Libya’s official armed forces.
He also said he was forced to confess during interrogation by police.
The case was also adjourned to October 12.
