Labourer jailed for indecent act at Dubai villa construction site

A construction worker has been sentenced to one month in jail for committing an indecent act publicly while working at a Dubai villa.

DUBAI // A construction worker has been sentenced to one month in jail after waving his genitals from a room in a villa under construction to a number of women in an adjoining villa.

Bangladeshi MA, 32, told prosecutors that he had been in the UAE for six years and he had never done anything like this in the past.

He was charged with committing an indecent act publicly, which he denied at Dubai Court of Misdemeanours last week.

On March 13, the women in Al Khawaneej 1 called police to report MA and officers arrested him on site.

“The women told us that he had done the same act several times that day,” testified policeman ES, 37.

He added that he was among the arrest team and, when he attended the women’s villa, he saw from a kitchen window the Bangladeshi standing half-naked from the waist down.

“I was wrong to do what I did,” the worker told prosecutors.

“They were at the yard of their house and they were laughing when I did so.”

The man will be deported after completing his jail term.
