DUBAI // Poor families in Palestine have been given thousands of food baskets by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation as part of its Ramadan food aid programme in the Gaza Strip.
The foundation said families whose homes have been completely destroyed had also benefited from the aid programme.
The National Islamic Committee for Development and Social Solidarity, which is supervising the Ramadan food aid programme, expressed gratitude to the UAE for its consistent support to the Palestinian people, notably in Gaza.
It said the Khalifa foundation is providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in Gaza as part of its efforts to ease their suffering during the severe economic conditions they are experiencing.
