ABU DHABI // Heavy fog blanketed most of the capital and parts of Dubai and Sharjah this morning. Foggy conditions started as early as 1.30am.
Visibility was reduced on most of the outer roads such as the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain road, Mohammed Bin Zayed road and Emirates road, falling to just 50 metres of visibility in Jabel Ali, according to the National Center Of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).
Motorists were warned to use their fog light and take extra care on the road this morning.
The fog gradually began to clear up by 7am and did not hamper much of morning rush hour traffic.
Foggy conditions are expected to continue over the next three days, the NCMS says.
