A Dh1 million heart-mapping machine is now being used to treat patients at Sharjah's Al Qassimi Hospital.
Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, the Ruler of Sharjah, visited the hospital as the Carto 3 machine, which creates a 3D image of the heart for doctors, was being used for the first time in the cardiac unit by Dr Gian Battista Chierchia, a visiting heart specialist from Belgium.
Four operations were carried out yesterday, and another two are scheduled for today.
