Dubai courts have received 48 calls from hearing impaired people using their visual calling service.
The service is part of My Awareness, My Identity, an initiative that aims to promote Dubai courts’ efforts to enable people with disabilities to better integrate with society.
Fatima Al Manaei, a sign language expert at the court, said the service was introduced in line with Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s initiative, My Community, A Place for All.
The Crown Prince’s programme is aimed at making Dubai a friendly city for people with disabilities.
