In preparation for its horseback trek on March 16, the annual Pink Caravan Ride has called for Emirati physicians and nurses to help dispel misconceptions related to breast cancer by enhancing awareness.
The initiative is still seeking professionals in general medicine, family medicine and radiology, in addition to female X-ray technicians and nurses.
“The Pink Caravan provides free breast cancer screenings to nearly 29,000 women and men throughout the country’s seven Emirates,” said Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, head of the Pink Caravan medical awareness committee.
Medical professionals accompanying the ride will offer medical screenings for early detection of breast cancer to thousands of women and men throughout the 10-day journey. Those who are interested can register online via www.pinkcaravan.ae.
