Mubadala hospitals are offering free Covid-19 vaccines in Abu Dhabi.

The Sinopharm vaccine will be available to anyone over the age of 16 with a valid Emirates ID.

It is offered on a walk-in basis at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, on Al Maryah Island; Healthpoint Hospital in Zayed Sports City and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, which has premises in Al Ain, Al Bateen and Zayed Sports City.

Appointments are needed for other sites offering the shot, which include Capital Health Screening Centre’s branches. They are next to Al Jazira Sports Club, Abu Dhabi island, at Village Mall in Mussaffah and in Al Ain’s industrial area.

Prior appointments are also required at Amana Healthcare Rehabilitation Centre at Healthpoint, Amana Healthcare Medical and Rehabilitation Hospital in Al Ain and booths at IPIC Square in Abu Dhabi.

Appointments can be arranged by sending an email to mcv@telemed.ae or calling 800 4959. Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre, a part of Mubadala’s network, will answer enquiries and direct the public to their nearest centre.

“We can ensure that more segments of the population will have easy access to the vaccines. In addition, we are actively working on adding new vaccination centres and mobile clinics at various locations outside of our network and facilities,” said Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, the company’s chief executive.

The group will also open a centre in Masdar City for walk-ins. A vaccination booth is also expected to open at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.

Authorities in the UAE aim to vaccinate 50 per cent of the population by the end of March.
