A week-long campaign to educate people about healthcare for the elderly will kick off in Dubai on October 12.
Organised by Dubai Health Authority, in celebration of International Day of Older Persons, which took place on Wednesday, the programme will include free screenings for residents aged over 60.
These include bone density tests, to screen for osteoporosis, as well as tests for blood pressure, body mass index, blood sugar, kidney function, liver function and cholesterol.
The authority’s home-care programme, Reaya, will also continue.
