DUBAI // To raise funds for the Crohn’s and Colitis research charity, Michael Nugent will be running the ‘London Marathon’ in April followed by the South African ‘Comrades Ultra Marathon’ in May. Mr Nugent’s goal is to raise Dh50,000 to be donated towards research into Crohn’s and Colitis.
The 54-year-old general manager of Mövenpick Hotel Ibn Battuta Gate’s desire is to undertake personal challenges, combined with helping those in need.
The ‘London Marathon’ is 42.2 kilometre long race and the legendary South African marathon is 89 kilometres. His simple philosophy is that “if we all do something, be it big or small, we can ultimately make a tangible difference in our local communities and beyond.”
