The UAE reported 2,526 new cases of Covid-19 on Monday, after conducting a further 175,033 tests.
These cases raised the total number of infections recorded in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic to 394,050.
Monday's figures showed that another 1,107 patients were cleared of the virus – bringing the total number of recoveries to 382,332.
Seventeen patients died of related complications, increasing the death toll to 1,238.
The number of active cases increased to 10,480 – up 1,402 from the day before.
The number of people with Covid-19 had been steadily falling since January 30, but has been rising again since Thursday.
Monday's cases were detected after another 175,033 DPI and PCR tests were carried out.
The UAE has conducted more than 30.8 million screenings since the outbreak.
A nationwide vaccination drive is also under way, with almost 6.03m doses administered to date. Another 7,956 doses were administered across the country in the preceding 24 hours.
With the UAE approaching a year since implementing distance learning and work from home, a survey has revealed that 68 per cent of employees have reported significant work-related stress – the highest level recorded since January 2020.
The study found 71 per cent worked more additional hours in December 2020 than they did in April, during the lockdown phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.
And 53 per cent said they worked extra hours on weekends.
Of those surveyed, 69 per cent expected more mental health support from their employer.
The survey was conducted by health services company Cigna Insurance.
