ABU DHABI // A group of Arabs and Canadians were sentenced to six months in jail by the Federal Supreme Court on Monday.

The three defendants were accused of establishing links with Hizbollah, and setting up and managing an international group in the UAE without obtaining a licence, reported Wam, the state news agency.

They will be deported after serving their jail terms.

The verdict comes after the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab League last month declared Hizbollah a terrorist group.
