Yemeni president praises ‘brotherly’ relations with UAE

RIYADH // Yemeni president Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi has spoken of the “brotherly” relations between his country and the UAE.

He made the remarks on Monday evening during a meeting with Salem Al Ghafli, UAE Ambassador to Yemen, at his residence in Riyadh, reported state news agency Wam.

The Yemeni president said that meeting with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, during his recent visit to the UAE, had “widened the horizons of the distinguished relations between the two countries.”

He said the Yemeni people would “always remember the brotherly stance of the Arab coalition” and its support for his country’s legitimacy.

He added that he looked forward to further cooperation between the two countries.
