Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has reinforced the strength of relations with Egypt.
It comes after Sheikh Mohammed received a call from Egypt’s president, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in which he reiterated the UAE’s support for the leadership, government and people in their quest for stability and security, according to Wam, the state news agency.
Sheikh Mohammed said that the UAE was following this approach out of its belief in Egypt’s central and historical role as a pillar of stability and safety for the entire Middle East.
The Egyptian president commended the UAE’s stance, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa, of supporting his country and its people, highlighting the UAE’s role as an important ally.
Mr El Sisi also stressed the historical relations between the countries, which were established by the late Sheikh Zayed, founder of the UAE.
He said that the decisions made by the UAE would not be forgotten by the Egyptian people, noting that these relations were crucial in times when outsides forces attempted to destabilise the region.
