SHARJAH // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, extended condolences on Wednesday to the family of Sultan Saeed Mohammed Al Mazrouei.
Al Mazrouei died while participating in Operation Restoring Hope, led by a Saudi-led Arab coalition, in Yemen.
Sheikh Mohammed visited the mourning majlis for him in Kalba in Sharjah, and prayed to Allah to bless Al Mazrouei’s soul with mercy in Paradise and to bestow patience and solace upon his family, reported Wam, the state news agency.
Sheikh Mohammed praised the country’s heroes for offering the ultimate sacrifices, dedication and loyalty in battles of glory and honour in defence of the beloved homeland against risks and confrontation.
He applauded the heroic stance of Armed Forces servicemen and emphasised their sacrifices, saying they will remain in the nation’s conscience and memory.
They have set a shining example while performing national duty and assisting fellow countries to confront forces of oppression, rebellion and aggression.
Al Mazrouei was killed when an Armed Forces military vehicle overturned in Yemen on Saturday.
