ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met with representatives of Abu Dhabi Media on Monday.
Sheikh Mohammed said he hoped the national media industry would rise to the challenges while keeping pace with modern technology, reported state news agency Wam.
“Media organisations should also nurture and empower young talents to rise to the national responsibilities and contribute effectively towards development,” he said while receiving the delegation, which was led by Director-General Dr Ali bin Tamim, at Qasr Al Bahr Palace.
Sheikh Mohammed underlined the vital role of media in supporting the development and achievements taking place in the UAE under the leadership of the President, Sheikh Khalifa.
“Media with a sense of responsibility can bring about positive changes in all spheres that are of interest to the members of the society. The sector serves as an important link between people and officials,” he said.
