AJMAN, SHARJAH // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Wednesday continued offering his condolences to the families of soldiers who were killed while performing their national duty with the Saudi-led coalition Operation Restoring Hope in support of the legitimate government of Yemen.

Sheikh Mohammed and his entourage visited the mourning majlises of fallen soliders Fahad Ali Mohammed Ahmed in Ajman and Ghaleb Amer Al Mari in Sharjah.

He also prayed to Allah the Almighty to rest the fallen soldiers in peace, to reward him with Paradise and to grant his family patience and solace.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, and Lt Gen Juma Al Bowardi, adviser to the Deputy Supreme Commander.

The Martyrs’ Family Affairs Office at the Crown Prince’s Court of Abu Dhabi has launched on Twitter and Instagram, under the tag @MFAOUAE.

Institutions and individuals wanting to assist the families of the martyrs are to coordinate with the office through an email (mfao@cpc.gov.ae) before launching any initiative.

Meanwhile, as the body of serviceman Hazza Rashid Mohammed Al Kaabi was repatriated at Al Bateen Airport on Wednesday, it was announced that one of the main streets in Ajman’s Al Manama area was to be renamed in honour of the fallen.

The name change, to Martyrs’ Street, was ordered by the emirate’s Ruler, Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.

Fifty-four Emirati soldiers have died this month fighting in Yemen as part of the Saudi-led Operation Restoring Hope.

The military campaign against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels is in support of the internationally recognised Yemeni government led by Abdrabu Mansur Hadi.
